What does Travelpuck mean?
In the ancient English mythology a puck is a mischievous creature. They are described as small, clever and domestic. Pucks could be fairies, demons or nature sprites. I always imagined them similiar to the Klabautermann, a kind of water cobold who lives in ships. Therefore I assumed they must love to travel and be curious souls – just like me. The name and idea of my blog was born!
& who is that person behind Travelpuck?
Yoho, that’s me! Sonja, 27, photographer with heart and soul. I live in beautiful Germany and love to travel. What else: Redhead and sometimes a bit clumsy.
Why this blog?
My wanderlust and my passion to take photos, both I’ve inherited from my grandfather. So it is theoretically not my fault, that I need to go on the road again, from time to time! On my blog I want to share my travel stories with you and try to bring a smile on your face!
Although I love to learn new languages and get in touch with different cultures, I’m still making a lot of mistakes, especially in English. So please be patient with me. I’m using this blog to improve my language skills as well. Beside English I’m also learning Japanese, Finnish and French. Not an easy combination, but I’ll try my best.
What else do you like?
First of all, I love my family, cats and friends, well who don’t? Second come photography, traveling, writing, reading and learning new languages. Basics I need everyday: coffee, music, art and chocolate. Last but not least, I love watching football, going to art exhibitions and watching my favourite TV shows (#superwholock).
